I am a third generation contractor. I began building with my father when I was 12 years old. He was an architect and contractor from the old school when an entire project was built by the same crew from foundation to finish. I learned how to construct foundations, frame buildings, install electrical and plumbing, and interior finish. I earned my contractors license in 1986. My first company was Barbary Coast Builders. Initially I focused on mid and high end residential remodel and addition projects. A special interest of mine was constructing absolutely fabulous kitchens and baths throughout Marin and Sonoma.

In 1996 I moved to Sonoma County and founded Sonoma County Builders, Inc as a full service general contracting company. I expanded my customer base throughout Sonoma County, and began building in Napa County as well. Soon we began to construct commercial and public works projects. An underground division was added in 2003 to compliment our above ground construction, and we became a full service building company.
